Fr. Jacob John

From a young age, Fr. Jacob John was deeply interested in the Church, its teachings, and the Holy Bible. This eagerness guided him to the seminary at the end of 10th grade, where he studied spirituality along with his high school education. In 1996, he graduated from seminary college, having completed a course in philosophy and earning a Bachelor's degree in Arts.

Subsequent to his graduation, he began his regency in 1996, serving in two parishes over the course of a year. From 1997 to 2000, Fr. Jacob John undertook and successfully completed a course in theology. He was ordained as a Catholic priest on December 26, 2000, by the late Major Archbishop Cyril Mar Baselios Catholicos of the Syro-Malankara Rite.

Since his ordination, Fr. Jacob John has fulfilled various roles including pastor, catechism director, youth minister, hospital director, school manager, and secretary of the priests' council. In 2007, he immigrated to the United States, and began service within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
